My cat peed on my carpet and on the baseboard. I rented a carpet cleaner and also a pet enzyme odor remover. The smell is still there any suggestions would be appreciated.
It will ALWAYS be there. Sorry. Nothing will get rid of it alltogether!!!!!!!
The cat can still smell it too and MAY go there again!!!!

Cat urine is one of the hardest smells to remove, sorry to say.
The best thing to do is get rid of it as much as you can, and purchase a cleaner with pheromones in it that discourage your cat from going in the same place again.

Pour some baking soda on the carpet and let it set for at least 1 hour, then vacuum. You may need to repeat this a couple of times. Also, make sure your cat’s litter box is clean or your cat does not have a urinary problem. Usually something is wrong when your cat uses the restroom outside of the litter box.

Go to a pet store and purchase Natures Miracle, it works very well. You will have to put this on full strength and really soak the carpet and baseboard with it and let it dry. I have a cat that does this once in a great while when he is not feeling well and I have had very good luck with this. There is also a product called OdoBan that you can get at Sam’s Club or Wal-Mart that has a nice smell that will also help. I spray that on the top of the carpet to help freshen it.

The smell will not go away sorry to say. Time for new carpet and pad or if you have wood floors underneath it’s a much nicer look. Then a nice area rug would be nice. Think of it as redecorating.

Go to a Petco store and pick up a bottle of Nature’s Miracle. While you’re there also buy a can of cat repellant. There are some really good ones out there. Then investigate why your cat pees on the floor. Could it be a urinary tract infection or he/she has to share the litter box with another cat? Cats are mental like that lol.. i know i have 2 myself. and i work at a petco and hear all the stories
Good luck

Try a professional carpet cleaning service. Make sure you tell them which enzyme products you have already used. What everyone else has said, though, is true. Once they have urinated whatever you try to do, even if you cannot smell it, they can smell it and will do it again. It is best to not have carpets at all, even area rugs, if you have a cat prone to accidents. I had to pay an extra 250.00 to have my Persian rug cleaned, on top of the base 150.00 after my cat who was dying from kidney failure went on the carpet. Plain hardwood floors are beautiful and it is easier to clean their fur dust bunnies.
You also may want to try to figure out why your cat had an "accident".

Alright, I am not sure which supermarkets or stores you have around you, but a lot of places sell this stuff called Kids "N" Pets. It is a carpet cleaner that cleans urine, poop…blood, oil, dirt, all of that stuff.
We had a kitten who became paralyzed on the couch and he peed on there and also once on the carpet long before and we couldn’t get the smell out till we used this stuff.
It says that it is for carpet, but we used it on upholstery and it works very well. It smells nice, it doesn’t stain and it is foamy. You spray it into your carpet and wait 4-5 minutes, then rub it up with a towel and vacuum over it.
It also worked wonders for our newly potted plant that fell over staining a good foot of our carpet.
I hope this helps…I definitely know how much it sucks to have cat pee everywhere.
