Dont be to harsh to your dog. when he/she pee’s on the carpet, put her up to it and put her face close to it(not in it!) and say bad or no. do not slap or hit the dog, that won’t help it will just nake it scared of you. when the dog pee’s outside give it lots of affection, and treats. it will figure it out

Pet stain and odor remover will not stop him from peeing it only cleans the area. You want him stop try a rolled up magazine! that and a product called "No No" (it has other names) It has an odor animals smell that drives them away. I have used it for cats works great!

    1. Go to http://www.frrco.com/121668 and buy the Pet Force…IT WORKS!!! I use it, as do my friends and family.

    2. Crate Train

    3. Take him out often and make sure he pees…actually watch him to be sure.

    4. Get him neutered if he isn’t already. You can get him neutered for less than $100 through http://www.friendsofanimals.org and that should also help with the marking behavior.

If you need info on how to crate train, please email me at libertydogtraining@yahoo.com and I will help you.

My boyfriend’s dog did the same thing when I lived with him-I moved out-but the vet said that its part territorial issues and only fixing the dog can help (if it is a male) I’m guessing it is male. And then clean the area with warm water and vinegar to neutralize the pheremones and douse it in alcohol (rubbing) after the H2O and vinegar dries to disinfect the area. Good Luck!

You should punish him every time he does pee on the carpet or bet.
You should put him in a cage and leave him alone there for like 10- 30 minutes because then he will understand that doing that is wrong.
Every time he pees any were but outside then take him and put his nose to the pee and explain to him that that is wrong and then punish him for it.

my dog was doing the same thing and when i would put him on my bed he would pee there to, so now i dont allow him on the bed and because hes using the bathroom inside in the same spot everyday, he’s not fully potty trained, i would crate him and everytime u take him outta the kennel bring im immediately outside. after a few weeks he will get to know that that is where he is supposed to go, im crate training mine right now so if you have any questions feel free to ask, i would rent a steam cleaner tho if u dont have that option and get the cleaner for pets for the steam cleaner, that way it can deep down in the carpet and then spray the pet stain and odor remover on there, or simply put something over that spot? wish you luck!

    Try belly bands.

The Adjustable band is made with an nylon webbing strap on long side and a elastic strap on the short side. Attached to both ends of the straps are a dog collar type clasp that attaches securely when placed around the dogs midsection. The Small Band area of the Adjustable is quality made with durable Cotton Gingham Check Material and a poly fil center for absorbency. Does your dog need additional protection? Just add a woman’s sanitary pad to the center of the Belt for more urine absorption

by associating that negative behavior with negative response.
for example, rub his nose in it. years ago i was putting away
some tupperware and my cat backed up and sprayed in to the cupboard. i calmly removed the items and used the cat to clean up the pee. he never did it again.

I have a 9 year old rescue dog that peed and pood everywhere the only thing that works with her is, being taken out hourly, doggy pee pad at every doorway and lots and lots of praise when she does it outside. As i have said my dog came to me at 9 years old and was not house trained and with these measures one year down the road she only pees on the mat or outside and never poos inside anymore. Please do not give up they really are worth it.GOOD LUCK

He’s already marked this as his territory so you’re going to need to get a product that completely erases his scent. Also put him on a strict bathroom schedule and stick to it. How old is your dog? If he’s a puppy you might want to consider crate training while he gets the idea of where it’s appropriate to go.

HI I like the answer to stun gun him! No how old is the dog? Puppy , couple years old? Did you try to train him? If he pee`s in same place most of the time ,put a bucket there for him.If that does not work ,get rid of him.Get yourself a nice cat. Good Luck-ROSCO

Sorry, we do not know enough about the dog to make a judgement call.

  29. twilightstarr420@sbcglobal.net Says:

Is he a puppy? What you do is grab him by the collar and direct his head at the pee or poo make sure he is looking at it and point and just keep saying NO in a very strict and angry voice give him a flick on the nose or a lite slap on his butt and then take him outside in the grass and point to the grass. This shows him that doing his buisness in the house is bad and outside is the proper place to do it thats how i trained my dog also if your are not home alot you might want to get him a cage if he’s not going to be in there all day that keeps his buisness limited to the caged and you’ll just have to clean it out but right when you get home let him outside DO NOT let him walk around the house he’ll just start sniffing and pee again you have to patient rome wasn’t built in a day and even if he has to be outside for a while let it be. Always watch for the uhoh i gotta pee or poo signs-circling sniffing starting to squat–then say NO pick him up and put him outside. Watch if he goes outside and when he is done give him a treat and praise. He’ll learn quick that he will like positive attention rather than negative then he’ll learn to try and please you. My dog loves me to death and he knows better than to pee or poo in the house, and that is exactly what I did. Happy Training!

I have a rat terrier-australian blue heeler mix he’s about 3 now but i’ve had him since he was a puppy. I also took him to petsmart for traing cause he’s alittle wild but it was the best investment I ever made. He even got a little diploma.

Your dog may have either a medical issue and is unable to hold urine which means you will have to see a vet about it. Or Another way to teach your dog to stop from doing it because he may not know that he is upsetting you, is to teach him the hardway. When i used to have a dog, and he will make a mess on a carpet, i will grabe the dog by the fur, without hurting him, to the location where he left his mess, point his muzzle close to it, and give him a smack on the nose by telling him "no, bad boy" and put him out, withoutgiving him any attention or play with him for a few hours. After the few times you do this he will know it, and will no longer do it. He will ask you to go outside for his business

  32. Jezebel888 Says:

You can only punish him if you see him in the act of peeing inside. If you come into the room later and happen to see it, it’s too late. 1 minute later is too late, he’s not going to understand why you’re upset. And if you just go take him over and shove his face in/near the mess, it’s just going to make him scared that you’re being forceful, assuming that it has ANY effect. The assumption people use when they do this is that it will each the dog that there is a problem with urinating in the house, but they don’t make that connection. They might understand that there is something wrong with urine, but urinating in general is not a bad thing — it’s rather necessary. So if you do it enough it might teach him to not to urinate when you’re around, which just means that he’ll go into a room you’re not in, or he’ll be "shy" about urinating when you take him outside to do his business, thus making him take longer.

You need to be taking him outside more often. After every meal, and after each time you see him drink. Seriously. The only reason why puppies do not pick this stuff up within a few days is because people don’t understand that they have to be very attentive to them in the beginning. If a dog has to pee, it’s going to pee. And if it’s not far in it’s training then it will have no qualms about peeing on your carpet. If it is trained then it will wait longer, though eventually it will pee on the carpet too if no one takes care of it. Just think of it this way: every time they’re taking something in (food, drink, whatever) or they get excited (i.e. playing), he needs to go outside. If he’s already outside, then you need to keep walking him until he urinates. Praise him verbally in a high-pitched voice when he does urinate outside, too.

Also, if you do catch him in the act of peeing on the carpet, don’t be mean when you correct him. Unless he has a more dominant personality, it generally takes nothing more than a rolled up newspaper being slapped against him once. There is NO REASON to ever strike an animal with anything — no matter if it’s your hand, a twig, a newspaper, whatever — more than once. It’s not going to drive the point home further, it’s just a way to get out your aggressions and that’s not right.
